The Police Foundation: Join research into ‘disruption’ for crime control

The disruption of criminals is a cornerstone of the national strategic response to serious and organised crime, one that is evident in the strategic and tactical response across law enforcement.

The Police Foundation’s aim is to address several key questions on the nature of disruption, the rationale for deploying disruption tactics, the roles played by different sectors and organisations, and ways to account for the outcomes of disruption.

A range of perspectives will be incorporated for this research, including the local police, regional and national enforcement. The Police Foundation is keen to collect a broader range of perspectives from those in the private and public sector that operate in different contexts. If disruption of serious and organised crime forms a part of your work, they would welcome the opportunity to discuss these important issues with you.
