Team Spotlight: Natasha Walder-Smith, Senior People and Talent Manager

Today, we talk to Senior People and Talent Manager, Natasha Walder-Smith.

Hi Natasha, tell us a bit about your background.

I have worked within the people function in different capacities for over 5 years now. Each company I have worked for has given me a greater insight into how varying companies operate, learning more about different people and has allowed me to build upon this experience in every new opportunity I have taken.

What does your role at Clue entail?

My role at Clue is very different to the average employee here – thankfully my role doesn’t involve too much hands-on technical understanding of the software! My role at Clue is the Senior People and Talent Manager, my main focus is on talent management and development but also involves overseeing various aspects of HR.

What inspired you to work at Clue?

I have always enjoyed musical theatre and being on stage, after I realised my talents weren’t quite up to West End standards, it gave me a chance to think about what I enjoyed. I love being around people and using my emotional intelligence, connecting these with a career study from school, all of my skills pointed towards a people role.

What excites you about working at Clue?

What motivates me most about working at Clue is the vision ‘to protect society from harm’. There are very few places where you can incorporate working in a challenging, supportive, and interesting environment with an overarching vision of doing the right thing! There are also so many opportunities for development and growth that make it an exciting place to build your career.

Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

Most people don’t know at work yet having only been here 6 months, but I’m a massive musical theatre lover!
